Be fashionable, even in the winter

Yes, it’s that time of year again – when the huge marshmallow winter coats come out and the sweatpants stay on. However, you can still look cute while completely covered up by layers of warmth.

You look your best when you feel your best. If you’re uncomfortable in what you’re wearing, then it’s going to show.

When out of the house casually; grocery shopping, picking the kids up from school, going to class on a lazy day, etc, it’s ok to wear sweatpants and be comfortable. But if the sweatpants are big and baggy, try wearing a tighter shirt, sweater or jacket to balance the outfit out.

You can also dress up a casual look with jewelry, fashionable scarves and stylish hair. Silver and gold jewelry make any outfit look dressier – even sweatpants.

Long scarves loosely draped around the neck make the outfit, and individual, seem more relaxed and at ease. Avoid tight scarves around the neck.

The traditional pony tail may be old school, but it will forever be “in”. Pull longer hair back in a lose pony tail, messy bun, or clip bangs back, out of the face. A simple, classic braid looks polished, as well.

You can also reverse this look by wearing skinny jeans with an oversized hoodie. Complete with jewelry, long scarves, and polished hair.

Take a look in fashion magazines to get more winter inspiration. There are fashionable, polished outfits that are comfortable and cozy.

With the stress of this busy time of year, nothing is better then a quick, comfy outfit that looks fabulous. Above all, be yourself.

I'm not a big fan of winter, but I do enjoy the fashions that go with it. It's the one time of year I feel like I might actually be in style.

I totaly agree with the statement "But if the sweatpants are big and baggy, try wearing a tighter shirt, sweater or jacket to balance the outfit out" ...

Ballencing "bagginess" is so true, and Some make it look adorabl! When i forget though, i feel sloppy and when i see others abuse it I get an urge to tell them- compleate strangers.

Layers are great, though. Like fall, one can cover up or ballence out any "emberassing" curves. Unlike warmer seasons, when it can looks rediculous.
