On St. Valentine's Day, sales are high for jewelry, flowers, and meals. People want everything to be perfect, so they spend lots of money to help ensure it.
However, with the economy not doing so well, many don't have the money to spend on lavish things. They try to think of what they can do that is within their budget.
One local man came up with a very creative idea. He asked his wife to meet him for lunch at the Chick-fil-a restaurant on Archer Road. He arrived earlier than the planned time to set things up.
After he ordered their meal, he chose a table. He placed a tablecloth, a candle, and a small vase with flowers on the table. Then he pulled out some plates and carefully arranged their food on them. When his wife arrived, he lit the candle. Needlessly to say, she was blown away.
Making an effort can say just as much as a gift from the store. Sometimes, it can say more because of the extra thought that was put into it.
If a couple has been married for any length of time, a gesture like this can go a long way. It can really make a difference in the relationship. And it won't cost that much to do.
