Winter giving you the chills? Zippity-do-da down to Disney's Hollywood Studios, and experience a different sort of chill. From the ferry, the Hollywood Tower Hotel lurks above the lagoon, but dust and cobwebs decorate the inside, as the Twilight Zone theme blares.
Tiptoe into a room. Get locked inside. Are the walls moving?
The entrance closes. Exit the opposite side. Wind down dark corridors and wait for the elevator.
The floor drops from beneath you. Daylight flashes, as you yo-yo between floors. The elevator is controlled by unseen forces, and the g-forces flatten your stomach.
Meander through Hollywood Studios, and look for the car driving upside down on an extended guitar neck of music notes blazing through the sky. The music notes lead to Aerosmith. The rock'n rollercoaster blasts off into darkness, with only Aerosmith's music to comfort you in the dark.
More into SciFi? Hop aboard the space craft. Be part of the Star Wars crew.
The Muppets are always entertaining, as is the parade of floats featuring Disney favorites. Learn about the history of Disney, but watch out for the Wicked Witch. You never know when she might appear.
Be sure to pick up a white chocolate macadamia cookie that's nearly the size of your head. There's so many things to choose from in the candy store, you have to be careful to leave room for dinner. Try some barbeque chicken and other familiar favorites, and be on the lookout for Disney friends nearby.
A sloppy jalopy pulls up along the sidewalk. The junky looking truck expands into a portable stage for shows. Enjoy a concert, comedy act or other random performances throughout the day.
Disney is like a dream. Transport to another world. Become part of a Hollywood movie set.
