There are many reasons to consider adopting a homeless animal. Pet overpopulation causes millions of dogs and cats to be euthanized each year in US animal shelters. Their goal is to make shelters the first place to turn to get a pet.
A shelter dog is priceless in terms of their devotion and love. There are many wonderful animals waiting to be faithful friends and loyal companions. Most are victims of circumstance; they are there through no fault of their own due to divorce, foreclosure or other lifestyle changes. Make adoption your first option. Adopting a pet is life changing and enriching, so be a hero, save a life and obtain a companion that will give unconditional love, affection and lifelong loyalty.
