As our week is winding down and World Food Day is now behind us for 2013, we must not forget that there are others not as lucky as some of us. Those are the ones that we dedicate this day to and continue to dedicate throughout the entire month of October. We must reach out to them with our hearts and set the far-reaching goal to conquer global hunger one meal at a time.
Luckily, this is one cause that unites many advocates and supporters. Michael Kors is best known for his massive efforts and his #WatchHungerStop campaign. Another dedicated believer to the cause is NBC New "Today" anchor, Savannah Guthrie, another caring individual who feels passionate about a world free of hunger and believes in delivering food to those who need it the most. She wrote a very inspiring short essay reaching out to many of her friends and fans to bring more awareness to the dilemma of world hunger which affects not only adults but children as well. Savannah encourages the public to be a 'food angel' and deliver food if they are able to those that are hungry and in need.

As a reminder, there are five immediate action items that can give you satisfaction that you have contributed to the cause and those are; call Congress, start a virtual food drive, organize a food drive in conjunction with your local food bank, buy a cool watch (Michael Kors will donate $25, or 100 meals, from each sale) or give a meal ($1 equals 8 meals).
We can all make our generosity go a very long way.
