BCS National Championship 2013: Live stream and TV kickoff time for NCAA game

The BCS National Championship 2013 edition arrives on Monday, Jan. 7 with Notre Dame vs. Alabama live streaming online and shown on TV under the spotlight. College football fans will be glued to their seats as they see the two top-ranked teams from the NCAA regular season battle to determine who's the true #1 team.

Tonight's Notre Dame vs. Alabama live stream and TV game gets going during primetime, with many believing it's a battle of a college football dynasty vs. another team's destiny. A report from CBSSports.com on Jan. 6 indicates that Notre Dame head coach Brian Kelly is prepared for a battle, as the nation's two top squads go head-to-head Monday night. While some are calling it a case of "Notre Dame destiny" or "Irish luck," Kelly believes it's a very different game plan for his team. Kelly said:

"This is one of those games where you have to be aggressive. And you're going to make a mistake. I'm not talking about [making] catastrophic mistakes. As long as you know as you're playing hard and aggressive, that's the kind of mentality [we want]."

These two teams also are top of the heap when it comes to their 2013 recruits for the incoming class of players. So tonight's game could very well be the preview of a future championship rematch. There's at least one game to be played before that talk can start up though.

The no. 1 ranked Notre Dame Fighting Irish enter this contest with an unblemished record of 12-0 overall, with a 5-0 road record. They were tested with an overtime game against #17 Stanford which they won 20-13, and then a triple overtime matchup against Pittsburgh. Notre Dame won that battle 29-26. The Stanford win wasn't without controversy over the final play. However, for Notre Dame fans, it was a nod to their defensive intensity at the end of the game to hold off a last-second scoring opportunity from the Cardinal.

Alabama is 12-1, suffering a loss in the SEC against #15 Texas A&M on Saturday, Nov. 10. Their most recent 3 wins came against Western Carolina and Auburn 49-0, along with a close win over #3 Georgia 32-28. On paper, Bama holds the edge in terms of their passing and rushing attacks, but both teams have held teams to just under 11 points a game this past season. This one could be a defensive battle, although fans will hope for more than when Alabama and LSU met in last year's edition of the BCS game.

Tonight's BCS championship game will be televised in Roanoke on Cox Cable channel 25 for ESPN with a start time of 8:00 p.m. EST. The BCS Championship game live stream online feed will be provided by WatchESPN broadband sports network in participating regions.
