BCS bowl projections for 2013 have been updated again. These new 2013 BCS bowl projections take into account Northern Illinois getting upset in the final game of their regular season. A report from CBS on Saturday (Dec. 7), states that Northern Illinois is likely to go to the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl and play UNLV now. As for the other games, Baylor is now the team popping into the mix as an at-large bid.
The updated predictions still have Florida State vs. Ohio State in the title game. If the Seminoles win the ACC on Saturday and the Buckeyes win the Big Ten that is the most logical outcome for things. If an upset takes place in either game, though, it could stir up how things shake out over the weekend.
The 2014 Rose Bowl is predicted to be Michigan State vs. Stanford, giving the Spartans an at-large bid against the presumed Pac-12 champions. The Fiesta Bowl is predicted to be Oklahoma State vs. Central Florida in what could end up as the most one-sided of the five big games. That leaves Auburn vs. Baylor in the Sugar Bowl and Clemson vs. Alabama in the Orange Bowl. Both of those games look extremely competitive on paper.
The 2013 BCS bowl projections will clear up pretty nicely by the end of play Saturday night, even though the at-large bids will still be available for the bowl committees to make the final decisions.
