BCBGMAXAZRIA Fall 2013 collection at Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion show was inspired by the refined elegance of Turkish architecture, eclectic style of Southern European Gypsy style of and the gritty yet elegant painterly aesthetics of artist Phil Frost. The relaxed silk dresses with inlaid prints and embroidery, loose salwar like pants and long chiffon tunics drew inspiration from the streets of Istanbul. Color palette varied from deep blue to rich burgundies to neutrals and soft white and black. The Fall 2013 collection had a lot of clean modern lines that were offset with the textural contrast of leather, jacquard, silk and extravagant fur. The relaxed silhouettes, thigh high leather boots, cashmere beanies, nylon parkas and leather motorcycle jackets emphasized the sportswear - like feel of the garments. The black and white long fur vest, burgundy perforated leather skirt and boxy top and crepe satin print block dress underscored the signature contemporary brilliance of Max Azria.
