According to the British Broadcasting Corporation, Canadian Olympic gold medalist Kaillie Humphries of Calgary is considered one of the top ten worldwide medal hopefuls at the 2014 Olympic Winter Games in Sochi.
Humphries, won the Olympic gold medal in the women's bobsled with Heather Moyse of Summerside, Prince Edward Island at the 2010 Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver.
Humphries, along with Chelsea Valois of Carrot River, Saskatchewan, won six of nine World Cups in 2013 and won the gold medal in the two-woman event at the 2013 World Bobsled Championships in St. Moritz, Switzerland.
Hunphries also piloted Canada to a gold medal at the 2012 World Bobsled Championship in Lake Placid with brakewoman with Jennifer Ciochetti of Edmonton.
Humphries was joined on the list with American alpine skier Lindsey Vonn, Norwegian cross country skier Marit Bjoergen, South Korean figure skater Yuna Kim, Russian hockey player Alexander Ovechkin, German luger Felix Loch, Chinese short track speed skater Wang Meng, Japanese ski jumper Sara Takanashi and American snowboarders Shaun White and Lindsey Jacobellis.
