Those bikini babes and dune dudes on "Baywatch" looked so happy, running down the beach in their miniscule pieces of clothing. However, gathering together to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the show, the fit and fabulous females on that show are revealing for the first time a weighty clause in their contracts, reported E! Online on October 8.
"[There] was a five pound fluctuation you couldn't go up or down," said actress Nicole Eggert, according to the Daily Mail on October 7.
And another cast member, Traci Bingham, confirmed that statement, noting, "If you did anything to gain or lose weight, etc. you were in trouble."
Baywatch celebrates its 25th anniversary officially next year, according to E! Online. The soap opera-style show aired from 1989 to 2001, and provided many stars with diving boards for their dip in the entertainment pool. Among them: Pamela Anderson, who did not participate in the get-together. However, if the statements are true, then she also would have had to deal with the weight gain clause.
Since leaving the show, several stars have had to deal with weight fluctuations. Among them: Nicole, who gained weight after her second child, reported Us Weekly on October 7. However, she made a guest appearance on "Extreme Weight Loss" in June to motivate a young woman to shed pounds.
In addition, Gena Lee Nolin suffered from about 20 years of weight gain, hair loss and fatigue before getting diagnosed with Hashimoto's disease and hypothyroidism, according to Digital Journal. Now she's co-authored a book about conquering her thyroid disease: Learn more by clicking here about "Beautiful Inside and Out: Conquering Thyroid Disease with a Healthy, Happy, "Thyroid Sexy" Life."
