The Baylor women were stunned by the Louisville women in the 2013 NCAA basketball tournament on Sunday, March 31, 2013. The fifth-seeded Louisville Cardinals came out and took down the overall top seeded Baylor women by shutting down Brittney Griner and draining three-point shots from all over the floor. Robert Griffin III, Washington Redskins quarterback and Baylor alum, doesn't feel that the game was officiated too well.
Louisville ended up winning the game 82-81 in one of the biggest upsets imaginable. Baylor's Griner was held scoreless in the first half and a team that had won 32 straight games was taken down. After it was all over, Griner was apologetic.
"I'm just sad," Griner said. "I didn't do what I needed to do to get my team to the Elite Eight and just disappointment in myself."
Griner later tweeted: "I want to say I'm sorry to the Baylor Nation for letting everyone down and everyone else that look up to me! I was a disappointed tonight!"
A lot of people have said that the Louisville women were extremely rough in the game, and they also believe that a lot of fouls - especially committed on Griner - were not called. One of those in support of Baylor is Washington Redskins' quarterback RG3.

Griffin is a huge supporter of the women's basketball team and has been since he played at Baylor. He took offense to the style of play from the Louisville women, and didn't believe that Griner deserved some of the criticism she got because it wasn't her fault. RG3 took to Twitter:
In a series of tweets, Griffin said he couldn't calm down after the game and that "them girls were LITERALLY throwing elbows, slaps &" and that "for every (3-pointer) they made, they threw 6 elbows, 5 straight lefts, 4 right hooks & 3 roundhouse kicks, 2 jumping knees, & 1 superman punch at B. Griner's abdominals. Aiming for her face but couldn't reach &"
Griffin tweeted that "there's a difference in being physical and fighting."
He added "To those who are mad and lose respect for me because I support my school and support my friends & I would rather have the guts to stand up for them, then to have that respect for sitting down & saying nothing."
Baylor's coach Kim Mulkey said that she was prepared to answer any questions about the officiating and ready for the fines. After Sunday's loss, Mulkey said:
"I thought the game started out way too physical, way too physical. I thought that all three of [the officials], if they go past this round of officiating, it will be sad for the game."
Baylor had won 32 straight games and 74 of the last 75 before Sunday's loss to Louisville They were considered the favorites to win the whole tournament.
