Accoring to the Associated Press, the City of Chicago has come to an agreement with Rick Bayless to open two restaurants at O'Hare airport. Initial plans are to have one restaurant at Terminal 1 and another at Terminal 3. Plans are to have the restaurants open by this fall according to aviation officials.
Bayless currently owns multiple successful restaurants throughout the City of Chicago such as Frontera Grill, Topolobampo and Xoco. He also has a show on PBS and has published multiple cook books as well as multiple appearances on Food Network shows. Most recently, Bayless has been in the news for being the chef that prepared the meal at the White House during Mexiacan President Felipe Calderons visit.
The new restaurants will add to the already varied food offerings at O'Hare such as the Berghoff Cafe, Billy Goat Tavern, Chili's, Goose Island Brewery and the multitude of other restaurants, vendors and fast food chains.
