Bay to Breakers 2010 race results with elite and local runner photos

The 2010 Bay to Breakers featured many world class athletes who were some of the fastest humans on earth last Sunday. The winner, Sammy Kitwara, 23, from Kenya finished in 34:15 to win the race for the second year in a row. Lineth Chepkurui won the woman's division with a 38:07 finish, and beat her own world record that she smasked at the Bloomsday race earlier this year.

Brad Poore from Auburn, CA ran in the Elite Athlete division and finished 14th overall in 37:56. Another elite athlete, Christina Applegate from Elk Grove, CA finished in 1:00:10 and was the 207th female to finish out of 12,534.
