‘Moon Over Buffalo’ shows that the quest for stardom can be a hilarious journey.
When Ken Ludwig’s comedy, ‘Moon Over Buffalo’ debuted in 1995, comic dynamo Carol Burnett starred after a long hiatus from the Broadway stage! Set in Buffalo, New York, ‘Moon Over Buffalo’ is a comedy about two 1950’s film stars who need one last production to bring them back into the spotlight, only to find that stardom can be funny and more elusive than they ever expected.
Directed by Stacia O’Brien, The Bay Players of Duxbury proudly present ‘Moon Over Buffalo’ on Friday, June 20, Saturday, June 21, Friday, June 28 and Saturday, June 29 at 8 p.m. Performances take place at First Parish Church, 842 Tremont Street, (Rte 3A) in Duxbury, Massachusetts.
Local cast members include Ted Lillys of Duxbury as George, Laura Howerton of Marshfield as Charlotte, Paulie Devlin of Plymouth as Rosalind, Marie Miller of Marshfield as Ethel, Alison Porter of Middleboro as Eileen, Chris Hrivnak of Pembroke as Paul, Chris Soule of Boston as Howard, and Michael Whelan of Weymouth as Richard.
