Bay-Lakes Council's merge with Hiawatha Land has given scouts an additional scout camp to visit throughout the year. Camp Hiawatha is located 20 minutes south of Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore in Munising, Michigan with Lake Bunting, a 60 acre lake with an island which is home to nesting Loons.

Camp Hiawatha requires scouts to cook in patrols and each camp site offers patrol shelters, fire pit and flush toilets with a centrally located shower house within the pine and hardwood forest similar to that of Gardner Dam.

Camp Hiawatha will feature a newly constructed Chapel and the current Trading Post has been moved and is currently undergoing a facelift which will include new inventory while retaining the old sign as the only recognizeable artifact from the old Trading Post.

Camp Hiawatha will be ready to give campers and guests an exciting summer adventure this summer.
