Panama City was represented well at the Universal Cheerleaders Association (UCA) National High School Cheerleading Championship by the Bay High cheerleaders.
They performed well to their routine, which included music bits from Lady Gaga's "The Edge of Glory" and David Guetta's "Where Them Girls at."
Unfortunately for the squad, their performance in the semifinals was not flawless.
While their synchronized tumbling and dance skills were impressive, they had trouble with a stunt during the cheer portion of their routine and their middle flyer fell while attempting an arabesque shortly thereafter.
As a result of those major errors, the squad did not advance to the Small Varsity Division II finals, which will take place on Sunday, February 12.
This was a far cry from their performance at the FHSSA Division 1A Small Varsity state championships, which was free of any major mistakes. Their seven point victory at that tournament had granted them the chance to compete at nationals.
