Bay Breeze Half Marathon, 10K and 5K races move to Quarry Lakes for 2013

Previously staged in the San Leandro Marina Park (which is currently under construction), this year’s Bay Breeze Half Marathon, 10K and 5K events are moving down the road to the similarly-flat trails of Quarry Lakes in Fremont.

All races begin and end at Quarry Lakes Regional Recreation Area, with the 10K and half marathon races stretching out along the Alameda Creek Trail. Trails are primarily flat and fast on fire trail and gravel with short paved sections.

Age group awards will be awarded to the top three finishers in categories of five-year increments. All participants will receive a finisher medal and technical shirt.

Start times will be 8 a.m. for the Half Marathon, 8:20 a.m. for the 10K and 8:40 a.m. for the 5K.

Not in the Bay Area, but still want to participate? To facilitate out-of-town runners, Brazen Racing is now offering the Brazen Racing Remote service. Simply register and receive the official race shirt, an official bib, race bag goodies, special offers (just like runners coming to the race), plus a finisher medal – all by mail.

Remote racers set their own course the day of the race and are invited to share post-run finish times, photos and race reports with the rest of the Brazen Racing community.
