Taking place April 18-20, the Bay Area Brony Spectacular (or BABSCon) is the first convention devoted to the hit Hasbro toy & cartoon franchise “My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.” Now BABSCon has a new contest in anticipation of the upcoming Hearts and Hooves Day (Valentine's Day if you're not a Brony or follow “My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic”).

BABSCon wants any Brony, fan of “My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic,” or hopeful attendee of BABSCon who hasn't purchased a ticket yet to show off their favorite photo and/or art celebrating Hearts and Hooves Day on Twitter using the #LoveBABS tag for a chance to win free passes to BABSCon.

There are two categories for this BABSCon Hearts and Hooves Day contest; Best Photo representing Hearts and Hooves Day and Best Art representing Hearts and Hooves Day involving BABSCon's mascot Golden Gates. The winner of each category receives two free Ponyville Pony Passes—one for themselves and one for their Brony friend or significant other—which includes access to all days of the convention where they can partake in shopping for "My Little Pony" themed wares, mingling with fellow Bronies, or meeting several guests involved with the series including the voice actors of Pinkie Pie, Twilight Sparkle, and Rarity.

BABSCon Hearts and Hooves Day Contest rules:

  • Tweet the photo or art to @babsconsf with the tag “#LoveBABs”.
  • Pictures should be PG.
  • One category per person can be entered.
  • Winners will be picked out February 15 after the episode of “My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.”
