Battling and Beating Cancer TV Show starts season with program on breast cancer

The 2013 Season of the Battling and Beating Cancer Television Show kicks off on Thursday January 24, 2013 at 7:30 p.m. Central Time with an important episode entitled, “What Everyone Should Know About Breast Cancer.” Dr. Swati Kulkarni, a breast surgeon at University of Chicago, will discuss the basics about breast cancer, the different types of breast cancer, early detection, treatment options, developments, and other important issues who also is an expert in the management and treatment of breast cancer and benign breast disease.

Lymphoma and leukemia are the subjects of the following two episodes. On January 31, 2013, Dr. Stephanie Gregory, Elodia Kehm Chair of Hematology, Rush University Medical Center, Rush University Cancer Center, will discuss lymphoma and the various forms of the disease, new treatments options, developments of interest to people with lymphoma reported at the recent American Society of Hematology conference, and much more. Dr. Gregory will return on February 7, 2013 to discuss “Leukemia: Developments and New Treatment Options.”
