According to ComicBook.com on Aug. 21, in an interview with Katee Sackhoff, who is also in the current TV show "Longmire" and formerly played Starbuck in "Battlestar Galactica", spoke of her desire to play DC's character Harley Quinn. Sackhoff will also will be appearing alongside Vin Diesel in the film "Riddick".
Apparently, actors a vying to be in any kind of super hero movie. It appears certain genres have come a long way, because prior to comic book movies becoming popular, actors would highly avoid such roles so as not to be typecast in a role destined for going nowhere career wise.
But now, with geek trends at an all time high, she even makes an occasonal appearance in Howard Wolowitzes fantasies on "The Big Bang Theory".
Now, she has ascribed to having great desire to play The Joker's sidekick and adversary to Batman.
“I love Harley Quinn. I do. I just love it. It’s not been done before. It’s this fantastic mix. I mean, it’s like the female Joker. Who wouldn't want to do that? Quite potentially — it’s not around so I wouldn’t feel the weight of it — I’d probably sell my first born at this point to do that".
Not unlike a pseudo psychopathic statement to go along with the character that portrays such behavior.
With a "Batman vs. Superman" on the horizon for 2015, there's no telling of Harley Quinn making an appearance, but one can always speculate.
