‘Battlestar Galactica’s’ James Callis added to Denver Comic Con

With just a little over two months away, the second annual Denver Comic Con will take place at the Colorado Convention Center May 31-June 2, 2013. The latest addition to the star-studded line-up includes the very popular actor James Callis. Best known for his role as Dr. Gaius Baltar from Battlestar Galactica, Callis just finished his recurring role on Eureka and just guest starred on CW’s hit show “Arrow.” Boasting a lineup of celebrities and comic book artists a mile long including guest of honor, comic legend Stan Lee, Felicia Day, George Takei, Wil Wheaton, Eddie McClintock, Erin Gray, with even more surprises to follow. The ever popular Felicia Day will be joined with fellow The Guild cast members Robin Thorsen and Sandeep Parikh. Other guests include Chewbacca’s Peter Mayhew, and actress Kelly Hu.

Comic book fans have an exciting guest list to look forward to. Not only the Stan Lee but Emmy winner Greg Weisman of Young Justice, The Batman, The Spectacular Spider-Man, and Gargoyles. Also set to appear are Marvel, DC Comics and Dark Horse Comics, Phil Jimenez of Star Trek/Legion of Superheroes, Wonder Woman, Adventure Comics, Infinite Crisis, Paul Ryan of Fantastic Four, The Avengers, Amazing Spider-Man, The Phantom - King Features, D.P.7, Herb Trimpe the co-creator of Wolverine, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Rebekah Isaacs of Angel & Faith, DV8, Golden Age, the great Allen Bellman of Captain America, The Human Torch, Sub-Mariner fame, and Zombie King Arthur Suydam of Batman, Conan, Tarzan, Aliens, Marvel Zombies.

The event raises funds for the non-profit organization Comic Book Classroom. This charity is a Non-profit organization created for low income schools and communities to help children with reading and writing difficulties. It's a six week program geared towards needy kids by utilizing comic books and graphic novels as a teaching tool.
