Battleground Games & Hobbies will not be holding the store's grand opening, as originally scheduled, this weekend. Delays caused by the holidays and overall size of the move have not deterred it from still having it, though.
When asked to comment on the store's delay, the owner, Derek Lloyd replied,
"Our efforts to build the best possible game store we can have run a little longer than we anticipated. As such, we've decided to postpone our Grand Opening/10 Year Anniversary Celebration until Saturday, February 9. This is an event you definitely do not want to miss. There will be tons of giveaways all day long: raffles, prizes, food, beverages, and other swag. We really hope to see you there!"
On January 1, Battleground Games moved to their new location at 1423 Bedford Street in Abington, Mass. The new location includes 25 foot warehouse style ceilings and more space for table top games such as Magic: The Gathering and Warhammer 40K.
