'Battlefield 4' teases battle at sea with new video and image

DICE released a new teaser video for Battlefield 4 on Thursday that, along with an unlocked image on the game's website suggests one of the possible locations in the upcoming PS4, PS3, Xbox 720, Xbox 360 and PC shooter.

The video released by DICE pulls away slowly to reveal a propeller in the water that begins spinning. Some have suggested that this may be a submarine but it more likely belongs to a boat of some sort like an amphibious assault craft. However, it could possibly belong to an image that was unlocked today on Battlefield.com.

The image is titled "Amphibious Assault" and shows a burning U.S. Navy aircraft carrier at sea. It is unclear if this is part of the Battlefield 4 campaign, multiplayer, cut-scene or all three at this point. DICE and Electronic Arts will be doing a full reveal of the game on Friday, March 27 in San Francisco where we expect to find out what is going on with this image.

The sea is no stranger to the Battlefield series as amphibious assaults have been part of the franchise since the first game with the Wake Island map featuring an aircraft carrier sitting offshore. It should be interesting to see what DICE has cooked up for the reveal.
