The PS4 game update that was originally meant to go live Dec 3 is undergoing some additional testing and will be rescheduled for a later date. We will get back with final details as soon as we have verification that the update is good to go.
The new patch fixes a glitch that is causing crashes on the PS4 version of “Battlefield 4.” Players with a large amount of friends would have their systems freeze while playing the first-person shooter on Sony’s new console. The title update also enables audio for video captures in addition to fixing the one-hit kill bug.
“Battlefield 4” was made available for the PS4 when the next-generation launched in North America on Nov. 15. Early adopters experienced numerous crashes, connection errors and lost progress. Players on other platforms are also encountering issues. Digital Illusions Creative Entertainment ended up offering a one week long double XP event to all players as compensation for the problems.
