‘Battlefield 4,’ PS4 and Xbox 720 impact on ‘Modern Warfare 4’ sales revealed (Photos)

Michael Pachter has provided some commentary in regards to the potential sales for the next “Call of Duty” video game, which is believed to be “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4.” According to a report by Play Front on Feb. 15, the analyst at Wedbush Securities believed that the expected release of “Battlefield 4” in addition to the console launches of the PS4 and Xbox 720 could have a negative impact on the software sales of “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4.” You can check out some fan made concept design works of the PS4 and Xbox 720 in the slideshow at the top of this article and the comments from Michael Pachter below (courtesy of Play Front):

Some people may wait for the console launch, and some are attracted to Battlefield, so it is very likely that we will experience a modest decline in sales. This is not the fault of Activision, but the testament of a phenomenal success and the available power of the Call of Duty brand.

“Battlefield 4” is rumored to be coming to the current-generation system in addition to the PS4 and Xbox 720. Activision will be releasing “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4” in late 2013. The launch of the two next-generation systems, in addition to the multiplayer beta of “Battlefield 4,” is slated to come out at around the same time.
