EA and DICE have released all new details about “Battlefield 4.” An August 15 blog post on Battlefield.com shared details about what gamers can expect to find in the new “Battlefield 4” multiplayer combat kits.
According to the “Battlefield” blog, there will be three squads in “Battlefield 4”; a Chinese squad, a Russian squad, and a U.S. squad. Each squad will have four combat roles; "support," "recon," "engineer," and "assault" and each of those roles will have a variety of customizable kits.
“Support” will use weapons like the XM25 to offer suppressive fire for his teammates. The blog states that due to the community feedback EA received “support” will also keep his C4 and claymore options.
“Recon” will now have the ability to zero his sights on sniper rifles.
“Assault” will retain his medical packs and defibrillator, and will have better mobility with his first aid packs.
Unfortunately, there wasn't any information provided about updates to the “engineer” combat role.
“Battlefield 4” is set to be released on October 29 for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC. The price is set at $59.99, and if your pre-order your copy of “Battlefield 4” now you will receive an exclusive beta of “Battlefield 4” and a map pack called “China Rising.”
