DICE gave its first hint Tuesday at what Xbox One exclusive features may be available with the release of Xbox One in November.
In a Q&A session with Xbox Wire, DICE Executive Producer Patrick Bach said, "Through SmartGlass, Xbox players will be able to view the overhead map during multiplayer matches and take advantage of the second screen. Also, with Kinect, we’re looking into features that enhance the controls including peeking and leaning and tracking head movement as well as incorporating voice commands."
The second screen experience has been mentioned by DICE before and will be available on the PS4 and PC as well. However, this is the first clue as to what kind of Kinect support that Battlefield 4 may support. The developer previously stated that it was looking at Kinect but only in ways that made sense.
Battlefield 4 is set for an Oct. 29 launch on the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC with the PS4 version releasing on Nov. 12 and Xbox One on Nov. 19. GameStop, Amazon and other retailers are offering those that purchase the PS3 or Xbox 360 version a chance to upgrade to the PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game for $9.99.
