Electronic Arts and DICE launched the official website for Battlefield 4 on Thursday that is drenched with rain and encourages players to swipe their mouse around to reveal an obscured image. The site also encourages fans to sign up to to get the first gameplay reveal for the PS4, PS3, Xbox 720, Xbox 360 and PC shooter and an exclusive set of dog tags. We can save you the trouble of swiping the rain off the screen though and give you a preview of the dog tags though.
While the Battlefield 4 website tries to make it a game to get a good look at the teaser artwork image, it was easy enough to look at the source code for the website and find. Additionally, we discovered the exclusive dog tag that comes from signing up to be notified of the gameplay trailer and register for Origin. The dog tags simply say, "I WAS THERE." Obviously, referring to the reveal of the title.
Battlefield 4 is expected to launch on the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC this October with the next-gen release for the PS4 and Xbox 720 coming not long after those consoles are released. Recent reports suggest that next-gen console gamers will be able to enjoy the 64-player multiplayer mayhem that PC owners partake in while the last-gen consoles will be stuck with 24 players.
