Frank Gibeau has provided a hint that suggests that the upcoming multiplatform title, “Battlefield 4,” may be coming to the PS4 and Xbox 720. According to a report by OXM on Feb. 22, the president of EA Labels used the first-person shooter as an example for their “astonishing” software for the next-generation gaming systems. He also revealed that the video game got a “huge ovation” when shown to GameStop managers. You can check out some images of the PS4 camera, controller and menu in the slideshow at the top of this article and the comments from Frank Gibeau below (courtesy of OXM):
Console partners who have seen our early work agree, EA's next-gen software is nothing short of astonishing. At a GameStop company meeting earlier this week, we gave 500 store managers a sneak peak at Battlefield 4. The game received a huge ovation and thousands of fans reacted to a single enthusiastic Tweet by GameStop's CEO.
In addition to the PS4 and Xbox 720 next-generation systems, “Battlefield 4” is also rumored to be coming to the PC in addition to the PS3 and Xbox 360 current-generation consoles.
Electronic Arts will be releasing a multiplayer beta for “Battlefield 4” later this year. Sony and Microsoft are expected to launch the PS4 and Xbox 720 sometime during this holiday season.
