"Battlefield 4" has been a title that people thought and expected to happen, but they were just waiting for confirmation and today is the day that arrived, so gamers can start to look forward to playing it on Xbox 720 and PS4.
According to a report from IGN on Friday, "Battlefield 4" has been confirmed via a press invitation to its official unveiling, which will take place on March 26th.
Everyone is expecting this game to hit the PlayStation 4 and Xbox 720, and confirmation of at least one of those titles is expected to be given.
Not much of this is a surprise as EA recently talked about the existence of a new "Battlefield" game, and the confirmation that it will be coming during their next fiscal year, which lies between April 2013 to March 2014.
EA game label president Frank Gibeau said the company will bring a new game next year, but can't say more quite yet.
"We have a 'Battlefield' title coming next year, but we're not in a position right now to talk about our development plans and our SKU plan long term.
"That will come in about 90 days when we get to show you some 'Battlefield' stuff," Gibeau said.
That day is coming on March 26th for "Battlefield 4."
