Several details have been clarified in regards to the stats transfer between the multiplayer beta and the final version of the upcoming multiplatform video game, “Battlefield 4.” According to a report by BF4 Central on Oct. 13, a representative disclosed that the company has backtracked from the original statement that was made about the transferable feature from the play test.
Electronic Arts previously stated that players can bring their stats, unlockables and other progression stats from the online multiplayer beta to the final release of “Battlefield 4.” However, the representative has now confirmed that everything will reset at the launch of the game. As a result, beta testers will have to start at the beginning with the rest of the players.
The multiplayer beta began on Oct. 1 for select members of the community. Electronic Arts then opened the play test to all players of the PC, Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 platforms.
The play test was designed by Digital Illusions Creative Entertainment, the same studio responsible for developing the final version in addition to the previous installments from the “Battlefield” series. “Battlefield 4” will be released by Electronic Arts for the aforementioned PC, Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 later this month on Oct. 29.
The first person-shooter is also heading to the PS4 on Nov. 15. The Xbox One version will follow on Nov. 22.
