Electronic Arts and DICE made the Battlefield 4 beta dates official Tuesday for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC while also releasing an explosive new trailer that showcases the multiplayer action coming when the game releases in late October.
The Battlefield 4 beta will open up on Oct. 1 for existing Battefield 3 Premium members, registered owners of Medal of Honor: Warfighter Limited Edition or Digital Deluxe Edition and those that pre-order the Battlefield 4 PC Digitial Deluxe Edition from EA's Origin service. These individuals will have exclusive access to the beta for three days and then it will open up to all PS3, Xbox 360 and PC players starting Oct. 4.
The beta will come with the Siege of Shanghai map that has been featured prominently by DICE thus far complete with the falling skyscraper. The two modes available will be Conquest and Domination.
The new Battlefield 4 multiplayer trailer gives the run down of everything that will be available when the game launches including ten multiplayer maps, seven game modes and the Levolution feature that can change the environment on the small scale or create massive changes like flooding a city, bringing down a skyscraper or crashing a destroyer into an island.
Battlefield 4 is set for an Oct. 29 launch on the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC with the PS4 version releasing on Nov. 12 and Xbox One on Nov. 19. GameStop, Amazon and other retailers are offering those that purchase the PS3 or Xbox 360 version a chance to upgrade to the PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game for $9.99.
