The release of the Back to Karkand DLC for Battlefield 3 introduced a few new weapons for use on the multiplayer portion of Battlefield 3. One of these weapons was the French assault rifle known as the FAMAS. Since this weapon was introduced, many players have been complaining about the balancing of the gun, insisting that it is overpowered. This has now been brought into attention as Alan Kertz, core gameplay designer for Battlefield 3, has stated the following via Twitter:

That being said, we should be able to expect that a future patch will bring a nerf of some type to this weapon. Along with this, Kertz has also asked for community feedback on how the Flash Suppressor could be buffed to improve its effectiveness, with the included discussion of the Foregrip, Heavy Barrel, and Suppressor.
