Dice is known for hiding easter egg's throughout Battlefield 3. From random dinosaurs hidden throughout the vast multi-player maps to theme songs of games past playing subtly in the background, Dice is good at what they do.
This latest little easter egg may be their greatest, however. In the recently (as in today) released "End Game" DLC, players have found quite the interesting nod to "Battlefield 2142." On the map "Kiasar Railroad," players can stumble across what appears to be a UD-6 Talon, a vehicle that represent the Gunship on the EU side of Battlefield 2142.
Now, there is no official confirmation that Dice is pursuing a sequel to Battlefield 2142, as they have gone on record claiming that the next Battlefield will in no way be a follow up to their futuristic installment of the series, but rather more in line with the current "Modern Warfare" theme of Battlefield 3. But obsessive fans could correlate it with one anyway if thrown together with the "2143" spotted on a container on "Kharg Island," and other hint's the developers have thrown at them. Either way, it's a cool little easter egg for the fans.
