Major Nelson has posted the LIVE Activity list for the week of July 6th, and it is very surprising. As you can see from the title, Battlefield 1943 has accomplished something only once done before with Castle Crashers.
Despite initially having server issues, EA overcame that hurdle right away and it seems to have pleased gamers. Battlefield 1943 has cracked the top numbers for disc based games, taking out Rock Band 2 from the list completely. I am not sure how long this will last, but with chatter on this game being quite good, I am expecting to see the game on the top games for at least another few weeks.
Every other title on the top 360 list remains the same from last week. With last nights surprising Modern Warfare 2 unboxing, I would have expected more people jumping back into CoD4 based on nothing more than hype for the series and getting back into their groove, but I believe BF1943 is going to be changing up any predictions I had on that.
Going into the Arcade titles, of course BF1943 is number one. N+ jumps all the way up to the number two spot despite not on the list at all last week, the benefits of being an XBLA deal of the week, we'll see if this continues for Ikaruga. This of course pushes Magic the Gathering Duels of the Planeswalkers down to four. I am not sure if this in error or not, but Hasbro Family Game Night is listed in two spots, I will be checking back to see if a revision is made on this.
The Original Xbox titles are the same as last week, and probably going to be the same forever, so onto Community games. My favorite game that I can't get back into because of red ring, Kodu Game Lab, remains at number one. It is very noteworthy that one of those dreaded massage games that I complain about is off the list, happy times. On the list is Urban Art Gallery.. which I cannot lie, I am curious about.
