'Battle World: Kronos' Kickstarter project off to a good start

“KING Art Games” is attempting to revitalize the turn based strategy game with “Battle Worlds: Kronos”. Community testing back in 2007 had a positive response but no publisher was interested in a turn based strategy game. Now you can help the German Indie developers bring their game to life through a Kickstarter project launched Mar 19.

“Battle Worlds: Kronos” looks like a great game with improved graphics from the original demo. The game will include online multiplayer as well as single player campaigns with a promised strong AI. The independent company is offering the game for all OS’s including Linux and in-browser. They are also promising no DLC schemes, micro-transactions, or DRM which gamers should love.

“KING Art Games” has revitalized a genre before. Their point and click adventure “The Book of Unwritten Tales” was a hit. It looks like they could do the same for “Battle Worlds: Kronos”. As of the morning of Mar 21 the Kickstarter project had earned $68,974, over half of the $120,000 goal. There are 1,832 backers for the project. With 37 days to go it’s highly probable that this is going to meet its funding goal and become a success.

Head over to the “Battle Worlds:Kronos” Kickstarter page to learn more about the game and to find out how you can support the project. For as little as $20 you can receive a full digital copy of the game with access to the Beta. There are even more perks for those interested in donating more. The Kickstarter campaign will end on Apr 28.
