Battle for the heart of America, Texas on frontlines

The battle for governor of Texas is heating up and seems to mirror the battle for the soul of America now sweeping the country. On both sides of the political aisle, progressives and conservatives have come together on the core value upon which our young nation was established, Liberty. Progressive liberals have become disheartened by Obama's failure to deliver an end to wars, to curb corporate fascism and to encourage lower health care costs. Conservatives, who were already upset by the Bush administration's excessive spending, military expansion and corporate bailouts are on the warpath.

For the most part, rather than answering the call of the people, the two major parties have continued in the corpora-political agenda of increasing the scope and size of government. In the recent gubernatorial primaries in Texas, Fox News' Glenn Beck tipped his hand by what appears to be a deliberate attempt to derail a Ron Paul Republican's

campaign for governor. Beck, who has previously gone on record as having questions regarding September 11th himself, ridiculed Debra Medina for allegedly having some sort of connection to 9/11 truthers. Her only connection appears to be that she, along with the 9/11 Commission itself, still has a few unanswered questions. Moreover, she has the integrity to admit it, which appears to be a strange commodity in politics these days.

The problem lies in the fact that Beck, along with Fox News has portrayed himself as "Libertarian" when in fact he remains a mouthpiece for the neo conservative Republican base.  Both Fox and Beck have direct ties to Dan Patrick and  Bob Perry, a close friend of Karl Rove.  Roger Ailes, former consultant to Nixon, Reagan, Bush and Giuliani, is the CEO of Fox and is primarily responsible for its programming. Fox has provided Sarah Palin and Mike Huckabee with on air spots, both of whom continue to support the overseas conflicts begun by the Bush administration, as well as the Patriot Act and other government expansion.

True Libertarian candidates like Debra Medina continue to get pushed into the "fringe" category by Fox News and other outlets when in fact they are the ones who push for practical methods of reducing government beyond the mere rhetoric of Republican conservatives. In fact, the libertarian candidates often have much in common with progressives who want to break the ties between major corporations and politicians.

Highlighting the importance of the Texas Republican gubernatorial race, a poster in one of the Ron Paul forums had this to say:

Why It Is Imperative Debra Medina Win The Texas Governor Election

Submitted by JSBach on Mon, 02/15/2010 - 12:42.

Considering the magnitude of this race, I am stunned that the Paul/TeaParty/912
combined grassroots, evidently seems distracted by other issues and
unwilling to support Medina to any significant degree!

Only $25. from 10,000 people would send her name into the homes of
all who pay attention to ANY news source!! Yet she can only scrape
together a few thousand in half the time it took Rand Paul to collect half a
million or so!

Understanding the reason Glenn Beck needed to try to crush Medina, the
fear they have of her getting close to the governorship, should be
telling enough. Her race today is bigger and closer than Ron Paul in
2008! She could win... but the difference between the mountain and the
mole hill is staring you in the face... few seem aware of the magnitude
of this race in terms of US history, sovereignty of the citizen, and
liberty for all!!!!

This race and her winning is one thousand times more significant in
the battle against the CFR/NWO insidious and perfidious actions against
liberty, and our sovereignty as a free republic, than the Rand Paul
race! It is far more a threat to the NWO than even 40 senators, for the
actions of a liberty minded governor can reveal the true freedom hating
actions of the legislature, in their attempts to block her changes for
liberty!

If indeed Texas made those changes, many states and especially the
grassroots, would be emboldened to follow. The house of cards would
tumble and congress would be exposed to a far greater degree, than if
we elected even 25% more liberty members of congress!!
The seriousness of this race and the critical time left, should go
viral! Every person should pass on the message to every list they can
muster! We should be seeing in this race, the closest match to Dr.
Paul's last run, the magnitude of our liberty hanging in the balance. A
simple citizen becomes a leader for lack of sound leadership, and the
electorate can make it happen!

May the Lord keep us all in these tumultuous days, and spare the Republic!

With Debra Medina Texas And America Win!!!

Well said! Thank you for another excellent article! The biggest fear is that Americans will THINK for THEMSELVES and stop allowing themselves to be herded by every elitist shill on MSM!!

Thanks again for being right on. You seem to be one of the few who can keep your eye on the ball.

The left and right are always fighting over us. It's time to stand again and be counted as WE The PEOPLE! Keep it up, we're going to win because we've got nothing to lose now.
