Here is the recap of the Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 tournament at Battle and Brew on 2/28/13.

Round 1: FR What's Proficiency vs. MH Jaime aka Zero
Match 1: FR What's Proficiency using Haggar, Wesker, and Phoenix and MH Jaime aka Zero using Zero, Hulk, and Super-Skrull (FR What's Proficiency wins)
Match 2: FR What's Proficiency using Haggar, Wesker, and Phoenix and MH Jaime aka Zero using Zero, Hulk, and Super-Skrull (FR What's Proficiency wins)
FR What's Proficiency swiftly takes the round, soundly defeating MH Jaime aka Zero, and sending him to the Loser's Bracket for another chance, while advancing himself to the Winner's Final.
Round 2: 0-2 vs. Nitro Noodles
Match 1: 0-2 using Ghost Rider, Dormammu, and Taskmaster and Nitro Noodles using Morrigan, Magneto, and Doctor Doom (0-2 wins)
Match 2: 0-2 using Ghost Rider, Dormammu, and Taskmaster and Nitro Noodles using Morrigan, Magneto, and Doctor Doom (Nitro Noodles wins)
Match 3: 0-2 using Ghost Rider, Dormammu, and Taskmaster and Nitro Noodles using Morrigan, Magneto, and Doctor Doom (0-2 wins)
Although it seemed Nitro Noodles was about to turn it around after the second match, 0-2 comes back with a vengeance, unleashing a relentless assault that sealed his victory, sending Nitro Noodles to the Loser's Bracket for a second chance, while advancing himself to the Winner's Final.
Round 3, the Winner's Final: FR What's Proficiency vs. 0-2
Match 1: FR What's Proficiency using Wesker, Haggar, and Phoenix and 0-2 using Ghost Rider, Dormammu, and Taskmaster (0-2 wins)
Match 2: FR What's Proficiency using Wesker, Haggar, and Phoenix and 0-2 using Ghost Rider, Dormammu, and Taskmaster (0-2 wins)
Match 3: FR What's Proficiency using Wesker, Haggar, and Phoenix and 0-2 using Ghost Rider, Dormammu, and Taskmaster (FR What's Proficiency wins)

It went back and forth throughout, but eventually, 0-2 came out on top, defeating FR What's Proficiency, sending him to the Loser's Final to try again, while securing his own place in the Final Round.
Round 4: Nitro Noodles vs. FR TooMuchDamage
Match 1: Nitro Noodles using Morrigan, Magneto, and Doctor Doom and FR TooMuchDamage using Doctor Doom, Zero, and Vergil (FR TooMuchDamage wins)
Match 2: Nitro Noodles using Morrigan, Magneto, and Doctor Doom and FR TooMuchDamage using Doctor Doom, Zero, and Vergil (FR TooMuchDamage wins)
FR TooMuchDamage lives up to his name, dealing way too much damage to Nitro Noodles to keep up with, defeating him in spectacular fashion, advancing to the next round and causing an abrupt elimination from the competition for Nitro Noodles.
Round 5: MH Jaime aka Zero vs. Jaazz Rap
Match 1: MH Jaime aka Zero using Zero, Hulk, and Super-Skrull and Jaazz Rap using Nova, Spencer, and Hawkeye (Jaazz Rap wins)
Match 2: MH Jaime aka Zero using Zero, Hulk, and Super-Skrull and Jaazz Rap using Nova, Spencer, and Hawkeye (Jaazz Rap wins)
Although MH Jaime aka Zero put up a valiant effort, his defenses were eventually overcome by Jaazz Rap, causing his elimination and Jaazz Rap's advancement to the next round.
Round 6: FR TooMuchDamage vs. Jaazz Rap
Match 1: FR TooMuch Damage using Zero, Doctor Doom, and Vergil and Jaazz Rap using Nova, Spencer, and Hawkeye (FR TooMuchDamage wins)
Match 2: FR TooMuch Damage using Zero, Doctor Doom, and Vergil and Jaazz Rap using Nova, Spencer, and Hawkeye (FR TooMuchDamage wins)
Although Jaazz Rap has done extremely well up to this round with his unorthadox character choice, FR TooMuchDamage once again topples his opponent quickly, eliminating Jaazz Rap and advancing himself to the Loser's Final to try and earn a place in the Final Round.
Round 7, the Loser's Final: FR What's Proficiency vs. FR TooMuchDamage
Match 1: FR What's Proficiency using Wesker, Haggar, and Phoenix and FR TooMuchDamage using Doctor Doom, Zero, and Vergil

The combat was fast and furious from the word "go", with both players giving it their all, but in the end, FR What's Proficiency comes out on top, earning a rematch with 2-0, and handing FR TooMuchDamage a third-place finish.
Round 8, the Final Round: 2-0 vs. FR What's Proficiency

Just like the last time, both players gave everything they had, almost to the point of causing concern over their controllers breaking in half. And even though it looked like FR What's Proficiency was about to achieve redemption, 0-2 came back from the jaws of defeat, and followed through in the next two matches to crown himself the winner of this week's tournament.
As the winner, 0-2 takes home a substantial cash prize, while his opponent, FR What's Proficiency also gets to leave with a significant cash prize. FR TooMuchDamage gets a small cash prize for his third-place finish.
Battle and Brew hosts video game tournaments every Thursday night with registration beginning at 6:30 PM and the tournament beginning at 8:00 PM. The more people that enter, the larger the prize pool becomes. So head on in and compete, and don't forget to try their delicious food and excellent selection of drinks!
