Here is the recap of the Tekken Tag Tournament 2 Tournament at Battle and Brew on 2/7/13.
As always, all names given are aliases, or "tags".
Round 1: Clint the Beast vs. I Choke on Mid
Match 1: Clint the Beast using Yoshimitsu/Zafina and I Choke on Mid using Ganryu/Jaycee (Clint the Beast wins)
Match 2: Clint the Beast using Yoshimitsu/Zafina and I Choke on Mid using Ganryu/Jaycee (Clint the Beast wins)
It came close in both matches, but Clint the Beast edged out a 2-0 victory against I Choke on Mid, advancing himself to the Winner's Final and sending I Choke on Mid to the Loser's Bracket to try again.
Round 2: Shola the One and Only vs. Obscure
Match 1: Shola the One and Only using Kazuya/Jinpachi and Obscure using Wang/Alisa (Obscure wins)
Match 2: Shola the One and Only using Kazuya/Jinpachi and Obscure using Wang/Alisa (Obscure wins)
Much to the crowd's surprise, Obscure defeats local favorite Shola the One and Only, sending him to the Loser's Bracket for another shot, while advancing to the Winner's Final.
Round 3, the Winner's Final: Clint the Beast vs. Obscure
Match 1: Clint the Beast using Kuma/Panda and Obscure using Bruce/Alisa (Clint the Beast wins)
Match 2: Clint the Beast using Kuma/Panda and Obscure using Alisa/Kunimitsu (Obscure wins)
Match 3: Clint the Beast using Ancient Ogre/Ogre and Obscure using Alisa/Kunimitsu (Obscure wins)
Match 4: Clint the Beast using Kuma/Panda and Obscure using Alisa/Kunimitsu (Obscure wins)
Although Clint the Beast put up a great fight, Obscure's strategy proved to be superior, as Obscure advances to the Final Round and Clint the Beast goes to the Loser's Final to try and earn a rematch.
Round 4: Shola the One and Only vs. RTD
Match 1: Shola the One and Only using Kazuya/Jinpachi and RTD using Paul/Steve (Shola the One and Only wins)
Match 2: Shola the One and Only using Kazuya/Jinpachi and RTD using Steve/Hwoarang (Shola the One and Only wins)
Shola the One and Only redeems himself from his earlier defeat, taking a 2-0 victory against RTD, advancing to the next round and knocking RTD out of the competition.
Round 5: I Choke on Mid vs. Magmar
Match 1: I Choke on Mid using Forest Law/Miguel and Magmar using Hwoarang/Anna (I Choke on Mid wins)
Match 2: I Choke on Mid using Forest Law/Miguel and Magmar using Hwoarang/Anna (I Choke on Mid wins)
I Choke on Mid wins, displaying a bit of showmanship by having Magmar choose his characters for him, and still taking the victory without Magmar winning even a single round in either match. I Choke on Mid advances to the next round, and Magmar is eliminated from the tournament.
Round 6: Shola the One and Only vs. I Choke on Mid
Match 1: Shola the One and Only using Kazuya/Jinpahi and I Choke on Mid using Michelle and Marduk (I Choke on Mid wins)
Match 2: Shola the One and Only using Kazuya/Jinpahi and I Choke on Mid using Michelle and Marduk (I Choke on Mid wins)
Shola the One and Only put forth a valiant effort, but I Choke on Mid overcame his defenses, advancing to the Loser's Final and sending Shola the One and Only home empty-handed.
Round 7, the Loser's Final: Clint the Beast vs. I Choke on Mid
Unfortunately, I Choke on Mid committed to a forfeit, making Clint the Beast the winner by default, meaning Clint the Beast gets his rematch against Obscure in the Final Round, and I Choke on Mid goes home with a third-place finish.
Round 8, the Final Round: Obscure vs. Clint the Beast
Match 1: Obscure using Alisa/Bruce and Clint the Beast using Paul/Wang (Clint the Beast wins)
Match 2: Obscure using Alisa/Kunimitsu and Clint the Beast using Paul/Wang (Obscure wins)
Match 3: Obscure using Alisa/Kunimitsu and Clint the Beast using Yoshimitsu/Zafina (Clint the Beast wins)

Clint the Beast wins, forcing a replay of the round, due to the double elimination requirement.

It was a hard-fought set of matches, but Clint the Beast managed to claw his way from the jaws of defeat to come back and win the round once again, crowning himself the winner of this week's tournament.
As the winner, Clint the Beast takes home a substantial cash prize, while his opponent, Obscure also gets to leave with a significant cash prize. I Choke on Mid gets a small cash prize for his third-place finish.
Battle and Brew hosts video game tournaments every Thursday night with registration beginning at 6:30 PM and the tournament beginning at 8:00 PM. The more people that enter, the larger the prize pool becomes. So head on in and compete, and don't forget to try their delicious food and excellent selection of drinks!
