According to Comic Book Movie on April 6, "Captain America: Winter Soldier" and "300: Rise of an Empire's" Callan Mulvey talked about his casting in Zack Snyder's "Batman vs. Superman". Considering that Eva Green's performance was quite breathtaking among the male cast of the Snyder film, Mulvey was the only one left to move forward to continue to work with Snyder in the "Man of Steel" sequel.
Mulvey contends that Snyder is rather a visionary and feels that actors that work with him enjoy the moments they've experienced with the successful director on the set.
"Zack is such a visionary, so I know it’s going to be an amazing project. Talent as a director aside, people really love working for Zack and being on his sets, which says it all really".
Mulvey made his breakout roles apparent at the age of 39 and has appeared in both the above mentioned blockbuster films within a month of each other. He also talked about how he was able to salvage his career back on track after in accident that left half his face mutilated in 2003. He proclaimed it was like starting over paying your dues taking on small roles once again and gradually building one's way back up into the business.
"I have found Hollywood to be filled with many talented, down to earth and creative people. It has been a lot of hard work and dedication. It’s tough in the sense that you have to start over again, do your time, play small roles and prove yourself. I have good friends over here who are doing the same thing, so we almost ride out each others highs and lows together. There is a real camaraderie among the actors I know. I’m very grateful to actors like Nic Bishop, Damian Walshe-Howling and the Hemsworth brothers who made the move before me and had such great advice and support".
For those who haven't already seen Mulvey in "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" just yet, keep an eye out for him as he takes on the role of Agent Jack Rollins. He appears as more of a shield tactical agent as opposed to a black suit and tie agent running missions with Steve Rogers.
