Batman saves a cat from a burning house with the help of Captain America -- yes, you read that right. On Sept. 9, MSN reported that two men dressed as superheroes in Milton, W. Va., swooped in an saved the day for one lucky feline.
"Batman and Captain America saw smoke coming from the house on Saturday, heaved the door open, grabbed the cat and resuscitated it," MSN reported. The two men, identified as John Buckland and Troy Marcum, were in town for Buckland's Hero 4 Higher business. Buckland, who used to be a firefighter, says that his training kicked in when he saw the smoke -- and the endangered cat.
When Batman saves a cat, it makes news particularly because it's somewhat entertaining. Seeing grown men dressed as superheroes doing heroic things in real life is quite a coincidence and something that the average person doesn't get to see every day. And of course, since the cat is safe and sound, there are plenty of jokes to be made.
"The cat comes around, takes a look at me, then hissed," said Buckland. As MSN points out, it seems as though the little kitty would prefer Catwoman over these two! Plenty of other jokes have been posted and you can add yours below.
