During the 2012 Presidential election, radio talk show personality Rush Limbaugh accused movie producer Christopher Nolan of choosing 'Bane' as Batman's evil nemesis, in the 'Dark Knight Rises,' as an insinuated reflection on Mitt Romney and his Bain Capitol activities. Interesting as this accusation may seem, watching the movie provides a greater reflection on the activity of the Obama administration.

Bane, coming from an impoverished past, harbors deep resentment toward the politics and culture of Gotham; and in interpreting the culture as evil, he embarks upon its destruction. Obama, strongly influenced by his father's interpretation of American history as a history of imperialistic oppression, harbors explicit desire for 'fundamental change.' Though President Obama does not hold the same overt 'explosive' strategy of Batman's Bane, he has exploded multiple 'quantitative easing bombs' upon an already weakened economy. Moreover, like Bane, President Obama has enclosed the police force in an underground tomb as he has a systematic desire to shrink the military, and has already weakened our presence in the world through so called heroism in 'ending unnecessary wars.'

Batman's Bane, moreover, utilized a political strategy of false hope as he announced the liberation of the every day Gotham citizen, by freeing criminals from prison! Meanwhile, busy with his class warfare propaganda, Bane systematically hid a bomb which was to obliterate everyone in Gotham! Mr. Obama, similarly, campaigned on a new politics, void of the old polemics. In actuality, Mr. Obama, like Bane, promised the liberation of the everyday American from the evil rich and corporate America, only to unleash and liberate mass mobs of criminals and degenerates in the 'Occupy Wall Street' movement. While promising so much hope and change, President Obama has proven the most divisive President in American history.

In possibly the greatest analogy, Batman's Bane was ultimately revealed as just muscle for a greater villain. President Obama, likewise, has proven his affinity for radical 'black liberation' preachers, former American based terrorists, and radical college professors. His international alliances prove equally troublesome. Schmoozing with foreigners such as Hugo Chavez and Vladimir Putin, while receiving support from such Progressives as George Soros makes one wonder if Obama is just muscle for a greater and more hidden power.

Everything!
Let's face it. There is no Dark Knight to save us. The only Savior is not a dark knight, but the Lord of Light! 2013 must be a year of bold Catholicism! For lukewarm Catholicism will only lead our nation to a planned explosion in the 'culture of death' and the socialist American to come.
And the only way to stop the real Bane is through responsible American citizenship, enlightened by the Catholic truth about our Lord.
