Batman centennial covers

More Photos

DC's Source Blog has released the cover to the 700th issue of Batman. This one is worthy of posters or a t-shirt. The issue is expected to ship in June. David Finch is the artist behind it and he had the following to say the Source,

"Batman is such an iconic character and I’ve been a huge fan for so long that it was a surreal and amazing experience to draw him officially for the first time. I really have to thank Mike Marts for letting me be a part of such an important mile stone in the history of this book."

Unfortunately with the way comics constantly relaunch existing titles or reset numberings, this one of the last 700's we'll see for a comic series. Superman will be celebrating his 700th issue in June as well.
