'Batman: Arkham Origins' DLC to bring back Mr. Freeze

See also

Mr. Freeze was one of the more memorable boss fights from Batman: Arkham City and Warner Bros. Interactive teased his return (or introduction) Wednesday and Tuesday as a new DLC adventure for Batman: Arkham Origins on the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.

"You are cordially invited to the Humanitarian of the Year Awards at the Wayne Manor on New Year's Eve. #ArkhamOrigins," the official Batman Arkham Twitter account wrote on New Year's Eve. The post was accompanied by an image of said invitation.

This was followed by an in-game image on New Year's Day with the declaration, "All-new STORY DLC coming in 2014!"

So now the question is what the story of the DLC could possibly be about. Since Arkham Origins is focused on the introduction of Batman and many villains, it stands to reason that this will be the origin of Mr. Freeze as well. The Humanitarian of the Year Award would follow the Paul Dini backstory of Freeze attempting to take revenge on his former boss whose shutdown an experment meant to save Freeze's wife but kills her instead and turns him into a super-villain.
