“Batman: Arkham Origins” just hit stores on Friday, October 25, so a lot of Batman fans are immersing themselves in the game right now. And nothing can kill your immersion faster than a boss fight you just can’t figure out how to beat.
Bane is a unique boss in “Batman: Arkham Origins” since you fight him three times throughout the game. The first two fights are fairly easy, especially if you’ve played the previous “Batman: Arkham City” and “Batman: Arkham Asylum”, but the final boss fight against Bane could leave you scratching your head trying to unravel the puzzle.
The first time you fight Bane you are on the rooftops of Gotham City and attempting to hold him off just long enough for Commissioner Gordon and the Gotham City PD to show up. The second fight takes place within Blackgate.
The first two fights are mechanically the same. They focus a lot of dodging out of the way when Bane rushes. The counters are pretty easy to time based on the counter lines that appear above his head - this is nothing like the Deathstroke boss fight where the counters have to be perfectly timed.
Use cape stuns and combination attacks then pull out the Venom tubes by building up the combo meter.
Third fight spoilers below.
The third, and final fight, also takes place inside of Blackgate, but this time Bane is overdosed on TN-1 - Venom - and the previous tactics you used to take him down will just tickle the big guy. This third Bane boss fight is a bit trickier as being amped up on Venom, Bane isn’t able to be harmed by normal attack methods. This fight is all about stealth.
As soon as the fight starts, hide in the floor grates. When Bane gets to the grates, with his back to your position, jump out for a stealth attack. Immediately run for the wall vents and jump in. Wait until his back is to your position once again and come out of the vent in order to jump him with a sneak attack from behind.
Bane will begin ripping the grates off the floor and out of the wall at this point. You won’t be able to effectively use either again as Bane will attempt to rip you out of your hiding spot immediately. Instead, circle around the area in order to sneak up on him again without hiding anywhere. Do another sneak attack.
At this point you won’t be able to sneak attack Bane effectively again until you wait until Bane is near one of the electrified doorways. When you do a sneak attack this time it will shove him into the electrified doorway and end the match.
