Sony Computer Entertainment posted more details in regards to the PS4 exclusive DLC being planned for the upcoming multiplatform video game, "Batman Arkham Knight." According to a report from Gameranx on June 23, players will be driving around Gotham City using the Batmobile. The vehicle is going to play a crucial role as it can be used for combat and traversal purposes.
In the exclusive missions, Batman will be going against an apparition of Scarecrow, who is expected to be several stories tall. The villain is going to send his undead minions onto the streets of the aforesaid Gotham City, a new location for the series. Scarecrow is one of the many antagonist returning for the final game of the gaming series to be developed by Rocksteady Studios.
The development team also decided to work with DC Comics to create another villain. Unlike Scarecrow and the other bad guys, the Arkham Knight is going to provide a more physical challenge against Batman as opposed to a psychological confrontation. The new character apparently uses a similar armor used by the comic book hero. A similar exclusive deal was made between Sony Computer Entertainment and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment with the release of "Batman Arkham Asylum." Players were able to control the Joker in the first game with several missions in the PS3 version. It appears that the two companies were satisfied with the initial deal as a new one was made for the upcoming game.
"Batman Arkham Knight" is coming out sometime in 2015 on the PC, PS4 and Xbox One. The same title was initially set to come out this year but was delayed due to quality concerns. The software product won't be made available on the PS3, Wii U and Xbox 360 consoles as a result of several technical reasons.
