Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and developer Rocksteady Studios announced Tuesday the final game in the "Batman Arkham" series, "Batman: Arkham Knight."
Full details will be released in this month's "Game Informer," but what has been reported is the game will take place after the events of "Arkham City," as Batman faces foes like Scarecrow, Penguin, Harvey Two-Face, Harley Quinn and others. No word on whether the Joker is included; but judging by his inclusion in every "Batman" game thus far and Harley Quinn's presence, he's probably somewhere near by.
The biggest addition to the new game is the Batmobile, which is a core element of the gameplay. Gotham City is much larger than Arkham City and Batman will need his favorite vehicle to navigate the wide city streets. Driving has been integrated with the signature climbing and grappling traversal of the previous games.
Alongside the "Game Informer" cover, WBIE and Rocksteady released a three minute cinematic trailer, which focuses on a monologue from Thomas Wayne's living will to his son, Bruce, as villains try to capture Gotham City.
