Batkid didn't make The Academy's list of heroes

Andrew Garfield was supposed to present at Sunday’s Oscars, but Spiderman was MIA at the black- tie event. The most tragic part of his absence was that 5 year old Miles Scott, AKA Batkid was supposed to do a segment with the Amazing Spiderman actor. The theme of this year’s Academy Awards was heroes, and Miles is definitely one of them in and out of costume. A spokesperson for The Academy told E! News that production problems were to blame for the segment being cut from the show.
"Due to the nature of a live show, hard decisions sometimes must be made which require the Academy to cut segments due to the logistics of production," Andrew Garfield understood that his segment had to be omitted, and he drove to Disneyland on Monday to spend time with 5-year-old Miles Scott (Batkid) and his family."

It’s obvious that a 5 year old probably had a much better time at Disneyland than at the Oscars. Perhaps Leonardo DiCaprio should have joined Andrew and Miles as well. We still all love Miles and will never forget the day he saved San Francisco and brought joy into all of our hearts.
