Bastone Brewery in Royal Oak is always cooking up something new. Beginning January 16, comfort food takes center stage with a new promotion, Pasta and a Pint.
Here’s your chance to experience some comfort food classics as only Bastone can create. And for the length of the promotion, your first pint of award winning Bastone beer is free.
Each of these delightful from scratch entrees is served with your choice of beer:
Cajun Chicken Pasta - Spiced chicken, Serrano ham, Andouille sausage and peas in a Cajun cream sauce with linguini. Try it with Main Street Pilsner.
Pesto Shrimp Pasta – House made basil pesto, marinated Roma tomatoes and portabella mushrooms, tossed with rotini. Try it with a Witface.
Vegetable Cannelloni – Marinated roasted vegetables, herbed goat cheese and fire roasted tomato sauce with fresh mozzarella. Try it with a Monumental Blonde.
Hunter Steak Pasta - Pan seared beef tenderloin tips with vegetables and fresh wild mushrooms in a horseradish demi-glace with orecchiette pasta. Try it with a Royal IPA.
Chipotle Seafood Pasta – Calamari, shrimp, lobster, eel and spinach in a chipotle cream sauce with rainbow fettuccini. Try it with a Witface.
Bastone seasonal beer includes the current Pin-Up Blonde, which will be followed by a Blonde Dopplebock, a pale version of a standard Dopplebock - and a Farmhouse Cru, a Farmhouse style Grand Cru that is moderately hoppy, dry and full of Belgian yeast notes. Look for these in February. In March, check back for a Milk Stout, brewed with milk sugar which lends a smooth, creamy sweetness and some body to the beer, and an English style Brown Ale, which will have some slight caramel, toasty, and very slight hoppy notes.
The Pasta & a Pint menu will be available 4 p.m. to close Sunday-Thursday, through February 23.
Bastone is conveniently located in downtown Royal Oak at 419 South Main Street. Call 248.544.6250.
