Bastille Day, a national holiday in France, is celebrated annually each July 14th. Fete Nationale commemorates the 1789 storming of Bastille, a fortress-like prison. Bastille Day isn’t just celebrated in France; other countries join in on the fun with all sorts of festivities and parades.
